This week we will start off by reflecting over how our mummy presentations went. We will learn different ways to present a book.
Please continue to encourage your child to read at home on a regular basis.
We did not get a new homework assignment this Friday.
Language Arts
This week 6th graders will be singing in order to help distinguish between action verbs and helping verbs. We will also be working with there, their, and they’re and practice using them appropriately. The 6 traits of writing will also be introduced.

Social Studies
Students began their research on an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh last Friday. This project will be due on Tuesday, November 3rd with minimal time class time to work on the final draft. Please plan to conduct some work at home. If there is not access to type at home, make arrangements to come in before or after school, or at lunch.

**Starting in 2nd quarter, late work will be deducted by 10%.

We will continue our keyboarding practice with timed typing, topic writing (Halloween) and Mavis typing program. Students will continue to work on their Calendar project using the Microsoft Publisher program.
